SMOKING GUN FOUND!!! DISPROVES WMSCOG DOCTRINE

The WMSCOG touts that Ahnsahnghong is the second coming of Christ and they point to the scripture that says the Christ will return in a new name:

REV 3:12 - Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

However, from Ahnsahnghongs own book, “The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life”, in chapter 12 he writes:

“But only “Jesus” can be the Savior’s name, not only at his first coming, but even in the last days”.

This is huge and completely breaks down their entire doctrine in one sentence by the very man who they claim is the the second coming.

Just looked through the site. Edward, you have interesting points, however a lot of the times you stretch your arguments beyond where your arguments reasonably allow. Forget the quote from the book; you constantly become defensive and perhaps it's just me but your posts have a very haughty/defensive tone to them. That doesn't necessarily mean anything, but you make remarks, and bring up ideas that the scriptures just don't allow room for.

I don't think the writer of the blog has any better of an attitude though. Don't get me wrong the writer of this blog has the same attitude sometimes in his writing, which isn't cool either. Often times he makes points that you do rather successfully bring down, but the original arguments he states were rather flimsy to begin with. I read a lot of the older posts, and I didn't care to read the really big last 3 ones, but for instance the topic of baptism.

The writer of this blog brings up this idea that the sabbath day is meant as a day for rest amongst the Jews, I don't fully remember the argument, because while I didn't read it in depth, I didn't find a solid back bone that could be clearly agreed with. You pointed out an obvious hole in it, and you declared yourself the victor. While I agreed with some of the ideas you said, that doesn't negate the fact that of the ten commandments (I know there's more, but stick with me) that were stated in the new testament, only 9 are iterated and emphasized in the new testament. However, there is one commandment that is not emphasized, but rather the ideas that had come about for it were uprooted. Verses like "Man was not made for the Sabbath, but Sabbath for man.", events of Jesus healing on the Sabbath, and I think this is a beautiful verse: Colossians 2:16 - "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day." This verse is solid in the English translation, and the Greek.

The Bible makes very clear here that I am not to let you judge me based on what religious festivals I attend (i.e. Passover), or the Sabbath that I worship.

Edward, it seems like you have a passion being sure in what you hope for, and certain of what you do not see, and I admire that my friend. Forget about church for a second. Just concentrate on you and God (Phillipians 3 for a quick reference. Doesn't exactly say what I'm saying, but Paul is saying that he considers everything loss compared to knowing Christ). So just take a second and just concentrate on you and God. Pray that God would step through any barriers, and show you His truths. Before you just discount what I'm saying and forget about it, this is what I do every single time that I examine the scriptures in reference to the your arguments. I've been a Christian for a year and a half, and God has taught me much since then. I have examined God's scriptures, and He has taught me; I have not listened to a man for prolonged periods of time.

I doubt I will be checking back, but I might, but I want you to know that I will be praying for you my man. :-)
